How it works
Step 1

Questions
Does the defrosting side need power?
No. It is a bare aluminium plate. It draws warmth from the room and passes it into whatever is sitting on it. Nothing to plug in, no batteries.
How fast does it thaw food?
That depends on how thick the food is and how warm your kitchen is. It is quicker than leaving meat on a plate and slower than a microwave. We would rather say that than give you a number the supplier cannot back up.
Which side do I cut on?
The black side. Keep knives off the metal side so it stays smooth and keeps conducting heat properly.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
The supplier does not list it as dishwasher safe, so we would wash it by hand and dry it standing up.
How do I store it?
There is a handle cut into the top, so it hangs from a hook or a rail. It also stands on its edge in a cupboard.
